Important information about the limitations of Stabilize
In Case of Emergency
If you are experiencing a medical emergency—including but not limited to chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, signs of stroke, or any symptoms you believe require immediate medical attention— call emergency services immediately (911 in the US) or go to your nearest emergency room.
Do not use this app to manage or respond to medical emergencies. Stabilize is not designed for urgent care situations.
Not Medical Advice
Stabilize: HRT & Cycle Log (“Stabilize”) is a personal health tracking and reporting tool. It is designed to help you document your hormone replacement therapy (HRT) regimen and symptoms related to perimenopause and menopause.
Stabilize does not provide:
- Medical advice
- Medical diagnosis
- Medical treatment recommendations
- Medication dosing guidance
- Any recommendation to start, stop, or change any medication
The information presented in the app—including any educational content, “insight cards,” or general information about HRT timelines—is for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Not a Medical Device
Stabilize is not intended to be, and should not be used as, a medical device. It is not cleared, approved, or regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or any other regulatory body as a medical device.
The app is a wellness and personal tracking tool. It does not measure, diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Consult Your Healthcare Provider
Always seek the advice of your physician, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding:
- Whether hormone replacement therapy is right for you
- Which type, dose, or route of HRT is appropriate for your situation
- Symptoms you are experiencing
- Any changes to your current medication regimen
- Interpretation of trends or patterns in your logged data
Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read, tracked, or observed in this app.
Data Limitations
The accuracy and completeness of your data in Stabilize depends entirely on what you enter:
- If you do not log consistently, your records will have gaps.
- If you enter information incorrectly, your records will contain errors.
- Symptom tracking is subjective and may vary based on how you perceive and report your experiences.
For clinicians: Data exported from Stabilize is patient-generated and patient-reported. It should be used as one source of information among many in clinical decision-making. Healthcare providers must use their own professional judgment in interpreting and acting upon any patient-reported data.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
Using Stabilize does not guarantee any particular health outcome. The app is a tool for tracking and documentation; it does not influence the effectiveness of your treatment or the progression of your symptoms.
Limitation of Liability
8 O'Clock and its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not responsible for any health outcomes, clinical decisions, or consequences arising from the use of Stabilize or reliance on data or content within the app.
